The Ministry of Health remains committed to promote a healthy lifestyle and early screening for diabetes to prevent complications and improve well-being. In conjunction with World Diabetes Day, the Health Promotion Centre, in collaboration with the Endocrine Centre, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital and several clinical departments, held a celebration with theme “Diabetes and Wellbeing". The event took place at a shopping centre in Kampung Salambigar, 16th November morning.

It was officiated by Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. Also held was the launch of an information book titled “Diabetes Jenis Satu dalam Kalangan Kanak-kanak di Brunei." The book serves as a reference and teaching material, as well as a practical guide that can be used by parents at home.
